Community Judges Needed- for Nacogdoches South District Qualifying Speech & Debate Tournament

The National Christian Forensics Communications Association
invites you to judge one round OR several rounds over the three day period.

March 30th – April 1st

With 11 different speech categories, 2 types of debate, and over 200 students expected, we are in need of about 400 judges!

You will be entertained and impressed by the talents of our young people.

The tournament depends heavily on Community Judges to help provide viewpoints from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.

No experience is necessary.
Orientation & instructions on how to judge is provided.

Food and drinks provided for all judges.

Debate will be held at

The Mosaic Center’s Hearts for Hope Dinner and Auction – March 28th

Tuesday March 28th at 6pm

Come enjoy an evening of fellowship, powerful testimony, and fun!

The GMC Trio and the Texas Bible College Ensemble, as well as a surprise guest will provide entertainment.

This year’s dinner will feature David Calhoun of Texas Custom Catering’s famous Chicken Fried Steak dinner.

Our live, silent and dessert auctions are sure to have something for everyone.

The proceeds from this dinner benefit the ministry of The Mosaic Center, Inc. which works to provide “A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out” to the women of Angelina County.

Angelina Arts Alliance Jane D. Ainsworth Scholarship

Calling all High School Seniors!!

The Arts Alliance is accepting applications for
the Jane D. Ainsworth Scholarship now through April 14th.

The Arts Alliance will award two $500 scholarships.

Applicants must be an Angelina County senior in
high school and excel in the performing arts such
as drama, music, or dance.

Applicants must have the desire and potential to
pursue a career in the performing arts and be
pursuing enrollment in a two- or four-year college,
university, or performing arts academy.

Scholarship winners will be presented to the
community on Saturday May 20th at 7:30pm.

Angelina College will match the Arts Alliance scholarship
for high school students planning to attend Angelina College
to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in the Fine Arts,
or existing students within the program.

Griefshare – Tuesday Afternoons

Griefshare is a 13 week seminar, on Tuesdays
Feb. 7th – May 2nd,  1:00pm -3:00pm,
that helps people who have lost a loved one to death.

Biblical and practical, participants may join
at any point during the 13 weeks.

paints, automobile batteries, household cleaners, household chemicals, pesticides, flammables, other hazardous household products, and white goods (old appliances, refrigerators, stoves, hot water heaters) electronic wastes (computers, monitors, printers, scanners, Palm accessories, power supplies, battery backups, cables, toner/ink cartridges, hard drives, CD-roms, speakers, VCR’s, DVD players, stereo equipment, TVS, game consoles, digital cameras, any audio or video equipment, networking equipment, tape drives, test equipment, fax machines, keyboards, voice/tape recorders, radios, Walkman products, calculators, cellular phones, and phone accessories.

Motor oil, antifreeze, and cooking oil will be accepted.

Prohibited items include:
tires, infectious medical stats, biological and radioactive materials, compressed gas cylinders, ammunition, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and explosives.
TV restrictions: NO BARE TUBES: Will not accepts if the plastic is removed from around the TV or monitor.
NO BROKEN GLASS: will not accept if the glass is shattered or broken on the TV or monitor.

This collection is for households ONLY!
