Angelina Arts Alliance Jane D. Ainsworth Scholarship

Calling all High School Seniors!!

The Arts Alliance is accepting applications for
the Jane D. Ainsworth Scholarship now through April 14th.

The Arts Alliance will award two $500 scholarships.

Applicants must be an Angelina County senior in
high school and excel in the performing arts such
as drama, music, or dance.

Applicants must have the desire and potential to
pursue a career in the performing arts and be
pursuing enrollment in a two- or four-year college,
university, or performing arts academy.

Scholarship winners will be presented to the
community on Saturday May 20th at 7:30pm.

Angelina College will match the Arts Alliance scholarship
for high school students planning to attend Angelina College
to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in the Fine Arts,
or existing students within the program.

Community Judges Needed- for Nacogdoches South District Qualifying Speech & Debate Tournament

The National Christian Forensics Communications Association
invites you to judge one round OR several rounds over the three day period.

March 30th – April 1st

With 11 different speech categories, 2 types of debate, and over 200 students expected, we are in need of about 400 judges!

You will be entertained and impressed by the talents of our young people.

The tournament depends heavily on Community Judges to help provide viewpoints from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.

No experience is necessary.
Orientation & instructions on how to judge is provided.

Food and drinks provided for all judges.

Debate will be held at
Calvary Baptist Church

Nacogdoches 75965.

10 Round Competition Shoot Benefit
Mar 18 @ 11:00 am

Come put your shooting skills to the test!

There will be two 10 round sessions.

Kids ages 6-12 years will be competing for a Mossberg .22 Rifle.
$20 for 10 rounds.

Adults ages 13 & up will be competing for a Yildiz 12 gauge shotgun. $30 for 10 rounds.

Whoever has the most wins in all 10 rounds will win the gun out of each session. In case of tie there will be a shoot off!

All proceeds will go to benefit Homecoming Queen Candidate Kendall Tucker.

You will need to bring your own shotgun and ammo.
No Buck Shot or slugs allowed! #5 shot and up.

We are not responsible for any accidents.

Griefshare – Tuesday Afternoons

Griefshare is a 13 week seminar, on Tuesdays
Feb. 7th – May 2nd,  1:00pm -3:00pm,
that helps people who have lost a loved one to death.

Biblical and practical, participants may join
at any point during the 13 weeks.
