1. Dates • Terms • Eligibility
L.E.B.F., operating 90.9 KSWP and 91.9 KAVX, may change contest dates or terms at any time without prior notice. Any major changes will be announced on-air or posted online.
Eligibility:
– Contests are open to anyone unless otherwise noted.
– Only one winner per household every 30 days.
– For prizes valued over $600, eligibility is limited to once every 90 days.
– Employees, agents, and household members of L.E.B.F. or other radio stations are not eligible.
– No purchase is necessary to win.
2. Prizes
– Taxes, fees, optional upgrades, and incidental expenses are the responsibility of the winner.
– Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
– If a prize becomes unavailable, L.E.B.F. or the sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
– Prizes must be picked up during regular business hours.
– Prizes won by listeners under 18 must be picked up with an adult.
– If mailed, winners assume all risk of loss, theft, or delay.
– Overnight-stay prizes are subject to special rules. Must be 18- over 21 to win (depending on destination). Some giveaways are for married couples only. Valid ID to claim these prizes is required. Individual rules per contest apply.
3. Conditions & Requirements
– ID may be requested to claim a prize.
– Winners of prizes valued at $600 or more may be required to sign a release and provide information for IRS reporting.
– Publicity photos may be taken and may require permission to publish.
– Contest void where prohibited.
– Fraudulent attempts to win will result in disqualification.
4. Technical & Entry Conditions
– L.E.B.F. is not responsible for phone, internet, equipment, or transmission failures of any kind.
– If a caller is disconnected before providing required information, another caller may be selected.
– All contest entries (phone, online, social media, or in person) become property of L.E.B.F.
5. Social Media Rule
For contests conducted through social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube):
– Platform outages, comment delays, or algorithm behavior may affect participation; L.E.B.F. is not responsible.
– Comments must be public and visible to the station to be eligible.
– Duplicate, automated, or bot-generated entries are not permitted.
– Contests are not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by the social media platforms.
6. Decision Authority
All decisions made by KSWP/KAVX/L.E.B.F. management regarding contest rules, eligibility, and winners are final.
7. Release & Indemnification
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless L.E.B.F., its staff, contributors, and partners from any claims or liabilities arising from participation or prize use.
8. Access to Rules
Copies of these rules are available online, in person at 151 Holmes Road, Lufkin, TX, or by mail upon request with a self-addressed stamped envelope.
9. Specific Material Terms
Some contests may include additional rules required by the FCC or the nature of the event. These will be posted on the contest-specific webpage when applicable.
10. Random Giveaways
On-air hosts may occasionally give away prizes spontaneously by phone, online, in person, or via social media. These General Rules still apply.
