Shanty Town Awareness Event and Fundraiser
Dec 1 – Dec 4 all-day

Shanty Town Awareness
Event and Fundraiser

December 1st – 4th
100 straight hours

River of Life
School of Ministry,
Rusk, TX.

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness
for worldwide poverty and to simulate conditions
that 33% of the world’s urban population lived in as of 2010.

Using an area in front of our campus,
students will build their temporary dwellings
using cardboard, tin roofing, etc.
They will carry their water and cook,
eat and sleep outside in Shanty Town.

We are asking for donations for
Ministry School Students for each hour
they live in Shanty Town. (up to 100 hours)

While some of the funds will cover student trip expenses,
we are hoping for extra funds to buy supplies
for our host churches in Costa Rica.

Zack Loving at 409-489-2854
