April and July, partly due to proms, graduations and outdoor events and parties, which often involve alcohol and drugs.

There is no reason for anyone in Angelina County to be hungry because CISC will give them food. Some people come only once because they had an emergency that took all their food money. Some elderly run out of money because of medicine bills, etc. and need to come more often. CISC is here to help. Additional assistance in other areas of need are given also. The Christian Information and Service Center is open Monday through Friday 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 501 E. Angelina Street in Lufkin. Anyone that lives in Angelina County can come each week of they need food.

A Project benefiting the children of the dump. Chinendega, Nicaragua. Any baseball/softball donations will be accepted! Bats, gloves, helmets, cleats, balls, pants, belts, socks, hats, etc. Drop your items in the collection boxes located at Lufkin Parks and Recreation office downtown, Morris Frank Park youth baseball field-concession stand, or Dermatology of East Texas-107 Christie. Any questions please call 414.2410 or 414.8040. We will pick up your donations.

Christian support group for those struggling with addiction or any life controlling sin.
Families of dependents are also encouraged to join us. Confidential meeting-not a 12 step program.

Continuing group meetings will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. 1:00-3:00 pm.
Group topics will include:PTSD, alcoholism/substance abuse, depression, domestic violence, homelessness, and additional related topics.
Individual in-depth counseling available at no cost.
The East Texas Healing Center, 407 E. Hospital St. Nacogdoches.

Three theater camps for youg people entering 1st through 11th grades,
will be held  June 17th-29th, M-F from 9 am-4 pm on the Angelina College campus in Lufkin.
Performance is Saturday, June 29th.

Enrollment forms are available a the Temple Theater box office
or for printing, online at www.angelinaarts.org under education tab.

Parents may enroll in-person every Friday through May 31st from 9am-5pm and
four special Saturdays, April 13th, 20th, May 4th and 11th
from 12 noon-4pm at the Temple Theater box office.

Who Let the Dogs Out 5k and 1 mile Fun Run
8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Saturday, May 25, 2013—8:00 am

4th Annual “Who Let the Dogs Out” 5k and 1 mile fun run.
Participants will run or walk with their dogs(dogs not required to run in race)
across the longest wooden footbridge in Texas!
The goal of our race is to promote health and fitness of people and their pets.
All participants receive a finish medal.
Winners are awarded trophies.
