2nd Annual “Dane Shaw Shoe Drive”

This event is run in memory of Dane Shaw,
who passed in a hose fire June 2nd 2013 at the age of 4.

New or slightly worn shoes will be collected
until June 5th and distributed to children at
Glory Gang Ministries, First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches,
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nacogdoches,
Hospice Shop/Shared Blessings and
Fredonia Hill Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.

Shoes can be dropped off at
Adventure Island Learning Center
4528 NE Stallings Dr., Nacogdoches
or Shaw Photography at
623 North St., Nacogdoches

MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION

Everyone is invited to attend!

Activities will begin with breakfast served,
followed by a ceremony honoring the
memory of those who have served our country.

Sgt. Christopher S. Madden, USMC,
will be keynote speaker.
A combat war veteran of the Iraqi War,
Sgt. Madden has been serving with the
U..S. Marine Corps since April 5, 2006.
He has been deployed to Fallujah Iraqi
for two tours. Currently, Sgt. Madden
serves as a Marine Corps recruiter
for the East Texas area.
He is a native of Sheffield, Alabama.

Civil Air Patrol members will be participating
in the ceremony as they present and raise the flags.

A special balloon release is being
planned as a part of this year’s celebration.
